Categories
Sora sorts everything you add into these. Make your own, and describe what belongs in each so it sorts the way you think. When you move a card yourself, Sora learns from it.
How Sora works
Add
Type in the bar at the bottom and press Enter. Sora dates it, sorts it into a category and links it to related cards.
Rabbit holes
With a card selected, whatever you add next is “led from” it, so you can type a whole rabbit hole in a row. Tap × on “led from” to start fresh.
Lines
Solid with travelling sparks: a rabbit hole you followed. Dashed: something you linked as related. Dotted blue with ✦: Sora connected them. Each line is labelled with how they're connected; hover or tap for the full reason.
Connect
Drag the dot on a card's right edge onto another card, or into empty space to start a new card there. Or use “Connect to…”.
More options
Right-click, or press and hold, on a card, a line or empty space.
Select several
Shift-click cards or Shift-drag a box. On touch: press and hold a card → Select, then tap more.
Undo
Everything can be undone: Ctrl Z, Ctrl Shift Z, or the arrows at the top.
Move around
Drag to pan, scroll or pinch to zoom. Zoom far out and cards become stars.
Categories
Tap a category in the bar at the top to see only that (with List for everything in it); tap All, × or Esc for everything again. Shift-click to combine. Keys 1–9 and 0 do the same.
Dictionary
The book button (or D) looks up any word, name or place in Wiktionary and Wikipedia. Every card shows its dictionary entry, and you can double-click a word in an explanation or your notes to look it up.
Offline
Sora works without a connection and syncs when you're back.
